We stayed here for a couple of days in July 2019. The little garden was lovely, and the house sits in a peaceful, colorful village. The landlord was friendly and really tried to help. But the online photos made the interior look a bit better than it was in person. The bigger problem was the bedroom area upstairs: dozens of small black bugs crawled out of the walls each day. We were told they lived in the very old construction and only came out in hot weather, but they were still appearing in large numbers on the cooler days that followed. If we’d known about them, we wouldn’t have rented the house. Alsace itself was perfect, though, and we enjoyed our time there.

The owner gave us a really warm welcome, and everything went smoothly. We enjoyed exploring the region in its autumn colors, then coming back to this clean, roomy house with a lovely view across the vineyards. It’s a quiet place in a beautiful village, and a great setting for a family holiday in a typical Alsatian house.

Our seven friends felt right at home in this comfortable, well-kept half-timbered house. It’s in the lovely wine village of Hunawihr, with wonderful views of vineyards, the three castles of Ribeauville, and beautiful gardens. We walked through the vineyards to reach both Riquewihr and Ribeauville, an easy trip. The landlord was very friendly and helpful, and shared lots of great suggestions. We had a lovely week here.

We were five people spending a long weekend here, and the house looked just as it did in the online pictures. You can see the care and good taste the owner put into transforming the interior. They were attentive and very friendly, making sure we had what we needed. We’d gladly come back, and would recommend the house.

Franck welcomed us so warmly, and our group of nine adults settled in without any trouble. We had a very pleasant stay, and the gîte is ideally placed for visits to the neighboring villages. We have only good things to say and would come back if we get the chance.
