Castel Pierre Lisse

We came as a couple looking for somewhere quiet, welcoming and elegant, and this place met what we wanted. The manager greeted us with a big smile and said a second room was available, so we could choose. One had a lovely pool view; the other looked out over the sea. Both rooms were clean, comfortable, and decorated with taste and their own character. We had a perfect stay, and I highly recommend it.

It feels like a second home now, and it's one of my favorite hotels. With just seven rooms, the Castel stays uncrowded even at peak season, and the atmosphere is completely relaxed. Nicolas is a wonderful host who speaks his mind. The pool is fantastic, and the views across Hyères, Porquerolles, and the Mediterranean are breathtaking. It's also well placed for day trips to Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, or Saint-Tropez. Highly recommended if you're heading to the French Riviera.

Coming here feels like coming home. This beautiful castle overlooks the rooftops of Hyères' old town, and Nicolas, the owner, has made it a relaxing oasis. Every room is different. The pool and terrace look out over the town and coast, a lovely option if large high-rise hotels aren't your thing. A ten-minute walk through the old town's narrow streets takes you to typical southern French restaurants and bars, with excellent food that's also affordable. We've stayed twice already, and I'm sure it won't be our last visit.

We had such a memorable time here as a family. The residence is sublime, and the owner is amazing. We loved everything, and meeting some fantastic guests was an extra bonus. It's a place worth visiting, and we can't wait to return.
