We stayed two nights in eco room 5. It’s a small room, as the website makes clear, and that had been explained to us beforehand. It suited us fine, and it’s a good choice if you’d like a sunset view. The room was nicely put together, with a relaxed beach-house feel. Towels and shower gel were provided, there was free water, and we found plenty of local maps and information. A glass in the room for the water might be a nice addition, though I’m sure the lovely staff would have brought one if I’d asked. We had breakfast once. It was presented in a cute way and had lots to choose from, including croissants, hard-boiled eggs, brownies, cereal, and drinks. On Wednesday, after we made it to Porquerolles, the hotel’s packed lunch was very good value. We took the bus to the port, and the Réseau Mistral app was really useful during our stay. We’d planned to go to Porquerolles on Tuesday, but it was very windy there, so we hired bikes from the hotel and explored the peninsula and Carqueiranne instead. We enjoyed the rides, and there are bike lanes on many of the local routes. Keep an eye out for the 🦩 in the salt flats. We came by train from Marseille and first went into Hyères town, then walked to the hotel, which took over an hour. I hadn’t planned things very well. Bus 39 goes from the station to the hotel, and you can buy tickets in the app, which has an English option. I’m a very light sleeper, but traffic noise didn’t bother me. The air traffic stopped around 9:30 pm and wasn’t frequent in September. It seemed to be mostly private jets. If noise worries you, bring earplugs. Thanks to the staff for their help and kind smiles.

The sea was warm and clean while we were there, though some sea plants had washed up along the nearby beach. We really enjoyed this eco hotel and its close feeling with nature. Our bedroom was clean, comfortable, roomy enough, and safe for our babies, and having a terrace was a big plus. The staff were cheerful and very friendly. Breakfast was lovely, with homemade yogurts, cakes, bread, cheese, tasty juices, good coffee, and lots of tea. I did miss a little more savory food, though. Scrambled eggs would have been great.

The staff were so helpful, and the food and drinks were great. Our room was comfortable, clean, bright, and airy. The location is fantastic, with a beach just across the street and several more a short trip away. It made for a relaxing, affordable beach break, and the hotel felt cozy and welcoming. I’d highly recommend it if you’re staying in Hyeres.

Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, and our room looked straight out over the ocean. There are lots of cute touches, and the hotel takes its eco-friendly approach seriously. The rooms are on the small side, though, and the main road and overhead flights are hard to escape noise from. During our stay the mosquitoes were awful and ate us alive.

The room itself was okay, and I suspect the room we actually booked would have been five stars: bigger, with the balcony shown on the website. Instead, we paid for and were given room 1, a smaller, darker room with a box where the balcony should have been. The room we got was presented as equal in value. I know the hotel business, and it seemed to me they save the better rooms for longer stays, then put shorter bookings into the poor room when it’s all that’s left. When guests object, a good hotel apologizes and works out a fair make-good. Here, there was no apology, just repeated offers to find us another hotel. By then, another place could cost three times as much, if one was available. Their problem with giving us a room far below what we booked was made into our problem. I pointed out the room’s disadvantages, but the answer was essentially that they could see we were unhappy and would find us a new hotel. I asked them to change the website so it reflects the truth, and said I’d amend this review if they do. Their response below shifted the blame onto the customer again instead of dealing with the misrepresentation. I’m glad I never had that attitude in my own hotels and restaurants. Breakfast was good if you like lots of cake, bread, and yogurt, and €12.50 felt reasonable for that. The team were as friendly as a magician. I haven’t even got into the odd Green Go booking site and all the greenwashing around the property. That’s enough of your time.
