We had no hot water for two days, which was a major failure of service for a hotel. Alicia, the receptionist, spoke flickering English and handled it very poorly. She pointed out that other amenities were working, saying, "at least the room is clean," and told us hotel management couldn't offer a full refund. They did offer breakfast for one day, but charged us for drinks. That's unacceptable for a 4stars hotel.

The room may be pretty and the setting peaceful, but the hotel let us down when it mattered. We'd stayed here a few nights before and enjoyed it, so we came back trusting them. That trust was broken. At check-in, nobody told us that the whole hotel had no hot water, even though they already knew. We only found out after a long day of travel, when we got to our room exhausted and couldn't even take a proper shower. Staff admitted the problem was ongoing and had no timeline for a fix. Leaving that out meant we couldn't make an informed choice. If we'd known, we wouldn't have stayed. Their response made things worse. They played down our discomfort, saying things like "the water's not cold, just not very warm." They didn't take responsibility, apologize, or offer compensation on their own. We had to insist before they listened, and then they reluctantly offered a partial discount, along with, "You can always write a review on Booking if you're not satisfied." We travel often and know things can go wrong. What matters is how a hotel responds. Here, we saw no training, care, or respect for guests. We deeply regret coming back. Based on our experience, guests could be ignored and left to handle problems themselves. Think twice before booking, and choose somewhere that values transparency, empathy, and basic hospitality.

The hotel is in a great spot and was sparkling clean. A lovely little boutique place, with a good bar and dining room.
