My husband and I first found the Bona residence in 2024 while looking for a nice pied-à-terre with a sea view, and we came back in 2025. We were delighted with it: we had breakfast and dinner on the terrace, the XXL bed was cozy, and the spacious bathroom had everything we needed. It's in a pleasant spot just a short walk from the port of Hyères. We're already looking forward to returning in 2026. Happy holidays to everyone who goes there too.

I really enjoyed the apartment and where it's located. I'll come back next year. See you soon.

The apartment had recently been renovated, and the building was very well looked after. The sofa and kitchen area had everything we needed, the bunk-bed room was great, and the sofa bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was compact but practical, and almost brand new. We had a wonderful stay, with the sea-view terrace as a bonus. I have no complaints and will definitely return.

For what is basically a studio, this apartment is extremely expensive. I stayed several times back when the rent was affordable and had wanted to leave a review, but could only post on rental sites. The owner wasn't receptive to criticism and threatened to have my reviews removed if I published them. Since Google didn't offer reviews, I had no other way to share what happened until now. During my 2018 stay, the apartment was dirty. The “surfer” who was acting as concierge wasn't doing the job: the shower head was covered in limescale, there was sauce residue on the sides of the fridge's ice tray, the dishwasher only worked on eco mode or it would break, and the microwave display was faulty and hard to use. The landlord also asks tenants to water the balcony plants, as though they were his personal gardener. Be careful renting at the end of summer, too. He seems quick to cash the security deposit check for questionable reasons, apparently to cover repairs at the previous guests' expense. In my case, he cashed it because his outdoor plants had died during an especially hot summer, and because of an alleged chewing-gum mark on the sofa. I don't chew gum. For much less money, you can find somewhere better and more spacious than this former maid's room with a kitchenette and bathroom. Update, June 13, 2025, my response to the owner: Hello, When I called it a “little corner of paradise,” I meant the region, Porquerolles, Hyères, Le Lavandou and so on, not your studio. You seem to think very highly of the property, but you need to be realistic. I stayed there three times, twice through an estate agency, and both visits went smoothly. The problems only started on my last visit, when I booked directly with you, especially when you cashed the security deposit check. That had never happened when I booked through the agency. The deductions were based on questionable reasons: plants dried out in a heatwave and supposed chewing-gum marks, though I don't use gum. You didn't respond to my texts or messages, which showed a real lack of communication and transparency. You cashed the deposit without telling me or discussing it first. For your information, other holidaymakers had complained about similar practices on HomeHolidays before the site closed. It's also inaccurate to say I couldn't leave a review. I was discouraged from doing so at the time, and I'm now using the first platform that lets me post one. I'll leave everyone to make up their own mind, but I think it's important to say that the experience can vary depending on the circumstances.

We first stayed on the first floor in 2020, then in a ground-floor studio in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, and we'll be back in September 2025. Pure bliss! The residence is in a lovely spot, with beach access right opposite and the port just a 10-minute walk away. The private parking is very handy. We book the studio a year ahead to make sure we get it.
