Residence Les Mandariniers

Loved it, so good!

The shower is very small for one person. At 1.80 m and 100 kilos, it was hard to squeeze between the wall and the sink.

We spent a week at Les Amandiers in February. Check-in was welcoming, and leaving was no problem. At first glance, the residence feels old-fashioned and cluttered, both inside and out. It might be noisy and hot in summer, but still... The owners seem keen to keep its family atmosphere. Having parking inside the courtyard is a plus, and the beach and walking routes are close by, which is great. Our mattress was memory foam and just right.

The best things were the location, very close to the beach, and the private car parking. For more than €500, though, the accommodation was a real letdown. The bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom dated, there was no shower curtain and the water pressure was very low. The pots and pans were worn out too. The street side is apparently meant to be "quiet," but there was a party in the building opposite every night. In hot weather, sleeping with the window closed was impossible. Then came the early noise: cleaning trucks at 4 a.m., garbage trucks at 6, and so on. Good luck getting sleep here in midsummer when it's over 30°C. Even the basics for washing up were missing: no sponge, dish soap or tea towels. We waited three days to hear back from the owners. The cleaning also hadn't been done properly when we arrived, and they said it was sand blown in by the wind.
