The room and breakfast still felt like good value, and everything turned out fine. The place does seem a little more worn than other hotels from this company that we use regularly. When we arrived, our room door was unlocked, and the lock didn't feel dependable. That was a concern with the room entrance opening onto the outside.

For a family of four, this was a great overnight stop at a hard-to-beat price. The kids' mezzanine was a real plus, with their space nicely set apart. Breakfast was perfectly good, and both its price and the room rate were more than fair.

We won't be coming back. The room's mezzanine didn't feel safe for children, and this was easily the worst budget hotel we've stayed in. We were only stopping over before the ferry back to the UK, but check-in was a hassle: the self-service system said the room wasn't ready, so we waited nearly an hour for reception to open at 17:00 and get the access code. I wouldn't recommend it.

Getting in online was easy, and the staff at breakfast were friendly. The room was perfectly serviceable, though it was warm upstairs and more comfortable downstairs. It worked well for an overnight stay after arriving at Caen Port after 10pm.

The mezzanine was a fun touch for our son, though little ones need watching on the stairs. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and check-in couldn't have been easier. In summer, bring your own fan if you can, since the temperature got uncomfortable.
