The people at check-in had a genteel feel, which I liked. The decor is oddly institutional, and there are some strange smells; now and then the clientele can get rambunctious. Still, it’s good value and one of the cheapest places to sleep south of Paris.

A few bathroom stains aside, the room was mostly clean. Breakfast is just bread, jam, and coffee, with things like fruit juice costing extra, and towels are only provided if you ask. The room and breakfast felt very sparse, though that’s normal for a budget hotel. Sound carries easily. Other guests were quiet, but lots of people left around 5:30 or 6 in the morning, and the loud doors made it hard to sleep in.

For the price, the service and breakfast were decent, and the value is good. It’s clean and quiet, though obviously not a top-class hotel at that rate. The nearby neighborhood is an ugly, run-down industrial area, and the highway gets busy at rush hour. Still, it’s close to Paris, where rooms cost five times as much.

The reception staff were much appreciated. We had car trouble, and they helped us find a garage to get it fixed. We don’t speak French, so a big thanks 🙏👍. Rooms were cosy and clean, and the service was good. Restaurants and Lidl are close by.

Lidl and McDonald’s nearby were a plus. The coffee tasted bad and breakfast wasn’t good, and there were no towels available, possibly due to Covid. After 22:00, there was noise from other rooms and mini truck drivers hanging out or sleeping in the parking lot. The lift felt unsafe.
