Residence Benista

The reception, pool, and grounds were the good parts of our week here. We found there was only one activity all week, on Thursday evenings, and it’s a bit far from the sea, so you need a car. Our apartment was quite dated and very dark, especially the kitchen, and there was no dishwasher. The shower room smelled unpleasantly of sewage. There was AC everywhere except the bedroom, so we had to sleep with the door open, with the refrigerator making unbearable noise. The bar doesn’t take credit cards. If you don’t have cash, you have to open an account and pay by card at reception at the end of your stay. The residence was sufficient for our week, but those issues made it a mixed stay.

The pool is superb, with a bar serving drinks and buckwheat crepes. This is a small, well-maintained residence with very friendly staff, ideally placed for exploring this part of the island. It’s one and a half kilometers from the centre of L'Île-Rousse and the beach.
