Camping Le Bois Damour

The campsite is small, with a really warm and attentive welcome, and our mobile home was well equipped. Being right by the sea and a little supermarket was great. It’s mainly suited to couples and groups of friends, as the website says, so the lack of children’s play areas or gathering spots like a snack bar or games room was disappointing for our kids. About a third of the campsite is occupied by residents. The bedding also felt a bit old, and there was a smell in the children’s room. Those are small things to improve, since the rest was great.

The location worked really well for us, between the beach, about 200 m away, and the estuary with its pond. It’s a small, very quiet campsite that’s kept in great shape. We also got a very friendly welcome, and the mobile home was spotless.

The campsite is peaceful through 10 pm, and people are considerate of each other. It’s near the beach, with plenty of parking that’s easy to get to, and there’s a small supermarket next door with delicious bread and pastries. We got a lovely, friendly, family-style welcome. We tried lots of restaurants, and there are some beautiful walks, including one to Pointe de Van. The only thing we couldn’t find was shrimp or prawns, though Leclerc has a very good fishmonger.

Céline was so kind and welcoming, thank you again. The mobile home was exceptionally clean, and the parking spot felt very secure. One morning, the gas bottle was replaced in less than ten minutes while we were having breakfast. Thanks, Jacques!
