Clean and tidy, with a great breakfast. The mansion sits in a beautiful spot, and the staff are lovely and very helpful. An excellent choice.

The hosts were easy to like and always ready to help, with tips for exploring the region. The house dates from the 19th century and has real charm, plus fantastic views over the mountains and countryside that make it a relaxing place to stay. The bathroom and toilets have all been fully renovated to 2023 standards. One of the finest stays I’ve had, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Breakfast felt like a relaxed chat with old friends, with homemade cake, fresh juice and other treats. Xavier and his wife were welcoming and had useful suggestions for the region. Our room was lovely, and its bathroom was bigger than most hotel rooms. The villa, garden and shared spaces all have lots of character and have been nicely renovated. We had a fantastic stay!

The owners know the region and Basque culture so well, and they share that knowledge with their guests. It made for a real immersion in Basque culture, with beautiful landscapes and villages to discover. An incredible experience, absolutely recommendable.

The location makes it easy to visit both the French and Spanish Basque Country. The views over the fields and mountains are very nice, and breakfast was really good. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was great, with clean rooms in very good condition. Highly recommended 👍
