The château’s peaceful, terraced grounds and beautifully restored rooms made our three nights feel special. Our room had charming period furnishings alongside modern comforts, and breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning. Philippe & Bénédicte welcomed us so warmly and shared thoughtful ideas for exploring Limoges and the surrounding countryside. We wished we’d had more time there, and hope to return with our family. We stopped here for a night while driving south through France, and it was a relaxing place to break up the journey. The owners rent out some bedrooms to help cover the cost of maintaining this beautiful 16th-century château. It’s an old, craftsman-built place with large, warm rooms, creaky floors, a comfortable bed, an en-suite bathroom, and windows that keep out drafts. Bring a kettle if you’d like one, and be ready for a long, winding drive up to the property.
