We paid the hotel online, but on arrival the very rude and arrogant Nigerian receptionist demanded another €100 deposit plus €4.20 city tax. He said the €100 would be refunded in 2-3 days, but we only got €69 back. He needs customer service training and should be fired. Such a scammer!!!

The website claims the rooms have air conditioning, but ours didn’t. The €100 deposit also wasn’t returned to us, and many other guests have reported the same, thieves and scammers. If you need clean towels during a stay of a few days, they charge €5 per person to bring them, then leave the used ones in your room because taking them away seems like too much effort. A dirty room or full trash bin will cost €30 to have cleared. The reception says you can call if nobody’s at the desk, but when we rang, the phone just rang in an empty room and no one answered.

Laundry facilities inside the building were a plus, and my room and dishes were clean. I didn’t use the cleaning service, so I can’t comment on that, though I saw staff cleaning the hotel every morning. The waiting area is pleasant, and most of the friendly staff speak English. The accessibility information needs more nuance. Disability covers a wide range of conditions, and this room was not spacious enough for someone using a wheelchair to turn around. There are no special handles, just an elevator. The entrance bell is so far from the door that reaching it in time after ringing can be a struggle. I use a walker and don’t have circus-performer skills; I managed without major problems, but even I had trouble getting into the shower-bath because the bathroom is so small. The location wasn’t great, the price felt exorbitant, and you still pay extra for everything. At least the WiFi is free.

We trusted them even though this had happened to other people before. They’re scammers. Don’t pay the deposit, they don’t return it and won’t communicate with you.
