The grounds are lovely and the building has real potential, but the stay was a letdown. There was rubbish scattered around the garden, and the staff seemed indifferent and weren’t friendly. Our room wasn’t clean either: the coffee machine had limescale and an old pod in it, the fridge was dirty, and the shower was blocked and unclean. Breakfast was just bread, croissants, and jam, so pretty limited. We’d booked online for two, with the option of a baby bed for €5, but when we arrived they said the room was only for two and charged an extra fee for our daughter. The photos had made the place look lovely, and we’d been looking forward to staying.

We had a good experience here. The staff and service were spot on, and the wine list was extensive. It’s an interesting old manor, with an exquisite menu that’s still quite affordable.

The breakfast was terrific, and the rooms were spacious. A wonderful place, worth every penny.
