Hotel Restaurant le Rive Gauche

We had four rooms for the eight of us, all beautifully updated and spotlessly clean, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. The best part, though, was dinner at the restaurant. It was superb, the best meal of our three-week vacation in France. Breakfast was delicious too. I’d highly recommend the hotel.

The walls are really thin, so if you’re sensitive to noise, sleep could be a problem. Each morning I could hear housekeeping talking, vacuuming, and moving things around. At night, staying in the public areas late could also bring complaints from other guests. For the price and the rooms, there’s not much to dislike, and most things missing from your room can be picked up at reception. It’s probably one of the better hotels in Joigny, especially if you’re driving. Without a car, it’s a 20-minute walk from Joigny train station. If you keep your expectations modest, you should be fine here.

I stayed here for a wedding. The hotel was clean, modern, and spacious, and the rooms were nice. It’s affordable and close to town, with shops a 15-minute drive away. A good choice for a 2-3 day stay.

The restaurant serves good quality food and is pretty nice, though the gaps between courses could be shorter. The hotel is great, with spacious rooms and high-standard service. They also have baby gear available, including a bed and high chair. 👌
