The restaurant was the best in the area, with fine food prepared and presented well, and exceptional service. I couldn't have enjoyed myself more. The innkeeper was exceptionally friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to visit, taste wine, and dine. It's a quiet, comfortable, welcoming place to stay while exploring Beaujolais. Our suite was spacious, lovely, and well equipped, with its own garden for our dog. I called ahead to ask for two beds for my friend and me and to check whether we could bring the dog. They said it was no problem, and when we arrived they showed us to this suite. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant, where the male half of the couple who own and run the hotel is the chef. With the suite, garden, three-course fine dining dinner with wine, and full breakfast, we paid 100€ each. The family-run hotel was delightful, and I was so grateful for their kindness and attention to detail. I'll definitely come back when it's warmer to enjoy the pool!

We had the best 24 hours of our holiday, though I only wish we'd been able to stay longer. The hotel, restaurant, welcome, and location were all wonderful. We really, really enjoyed our stay.

The owner greeted us when we arrived at hotel de la rose in Julienas. We loved our one-night stay. Our room was in the hotel's second wing, modern and spacious, with a small terrace. The air conditioning worked well too.

We arrived around 6:30pm, then had time to swim and shower before a drink on the terrace and dinner in the restaurant. The meal, wine, and service were all top standard, and we couldn't find any fault with our stay. The restaurant waitresses were lovely and also helpful and informative when we were choosing food and drinks to go with it.
