Hôtel des Pins

The interior was nicely designed, and the restaurant was willing to accommodate our group of 15 after we booked two or three days ahead. Service was a mixed bag: some waiters were attentive, while others hurried off before taking everyone's drink order. The food was a real letdown, and the prices weren't competitive despite a menu much like other restaurants. The mussels with lobster bisque smelled as if they weren't fresh, and there was hardly any lobster sauce. We ordered four portions, and none was finished. We're not picky eaters and know moules after many summers in France. Nobody asked how the meal was. When we finally said we were disappointed, it was a shame that, despite €800 worth of business, they said they could only remove two portions from the bill.

We had a wonderful night and will be back! The evening meal was excellent, and the small hotel is centrally located near the beach. The rooms were comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, with lovely personalities. We'd highly recommend it.

The hotel is cute and right in the city center, very close to the beach. There are lots of good restaurants, coffee shops, shops, and walking trails nearby, and parking close by was easy to access. It was noisy, especially in the street-facing rooms. Garbage trucks woke us at 6:30 am.

The manager was an absolute gem, funny, friendly, and easy to reach. The whole staff was among the friendliest I've dealt with in a long time. The hotel isn't fancy, but the room was clean and very comfortable, and the restaurant served really good food.
