The heating was the biggest problem for us. Even after we adjusted the thermostat, the gîte stayed at just 15°C unless we lit the wood stove, and we were charged €110 for heat over our 20-day stay. We felt that was out of proportion to both the time we were there and how well the heating worked. When we raised it with the owner, she got angry and spoke to us in an unpleasant, condescending way. We were there for business in February 2015, just the two of us, and the welcome had already felt cold and curt. The gîte also wasn't ready when it should have been. Bath towels and heating weren't included, the DVD player didn't work, and the kitchen utensils were greasy. Our total for the 20 days was €960. For the same price or less, we've stayed in much more comfortable, functional cottages nearby with far more welcoming owners. Avoid it.

Everything we needed was there, and the accommodation was comfortable and very clean. We spent a quiet, relaxing week in the gîte over Easter 2017 and had a wonderful time. The owners were welcoming and attentive, and they were flexible about our departure time. Highly recommended.

Wi-Fi is available, and the apartment has a small office as well as a large living room with a TV. The dining room, bathroom, toilet, and kitchen are all fully equipped to a very high standard.

The amenities were five-star, and the welcome was warm. We spent two enchanting weeks in complete peace and quiet at the foot of the Alsatian Jura mountains. If you enjoy the countryside, hiking, and cycling, go for it without hesitation. Pure bliss!
