La Maison Abeil

The breakfast was delicious, with fresh organic products, and the garden was a lovely place to enjoy in the warmer months. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the renovated house still has the charm of an old farmhouse. The host was warm and friendly, with great suggestions for things to do in the area. She even lent us books and travel guides from her beautiful collection. We felt comfortable throughout our wonderful stay. We highly recommend it to other travelers and hope to return soon.

Breakfast was a real treat, generous and made with local and homemade products. Arielle and Vincent gave us a warm, attentive welcome, and Maison Abeil is a charming, tastefully decorated place in an ideal spot for exploring the Écrins National Park. We wanted for nothing. The location makes a perfect base for outings in the Fournel Valley, including some unforgettable excursions. Maison Abeil overlooks L'Argentière, a small town with an industrial past that is now changing considerably. The renovated farmhouse respects the building’s original character and is furnished with exquisite taste. The peace and warm welcome bring the setting to life. Arielle is discreet but always available, and chatting with her over breakfast is always interesting. The living room is spacious and comfortable, with a lovely valley view. There’s also a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker on the landing outside the guest rooms. This guesthouse was a wonderful discovery.

We spent three nights in this superb house and will come back. The room was magnificent, breakfast excellent, and Arielle was very, very pleasant. It was a real pleasure to share the stay. Thank you again. A stop we won’t regret, just pure happiness. Tony.
