We only ate at the restaurant and didn’t stay at the hotel. The meal was bland and overpriced. The salmon didn’t taste like salmon, and the same went for the gambas. It all felt pretend. I can’t recommend it.

Alain, the manager, knew everyone’s name in our group, which made us feel welcome right away. The staff were friendly, the food was great, and they even gave us room to take our bikes apart. Our rooms were spacious and had air conditioning, much needed in southern France these days. We ate dinner twice, and both meals were excellent, thoughtfully prepared, with some inventive dishes. The menu changes each month, so you’ll have to see it for yourself. We especially enjoyed the pigs trotters, quasi de veau, and pot au feu for dessert. The wine list is short, well chosen, and affordable.

We ended up here after another restaurant stopped serving after 9 in the evening, and L'echappee belle turned out to be super. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff are so friendly and make a real effort to welcome you. The wine was good, and the food tasted amazing and looked lovely. Big thanks!

The food was brilliant apart from a grass leaf in the salad, but the service felt a bit chaotic. We sat outside and the mosquitoes were bad; I asked for a repellent candle and didn’t get one. No bread came to our table either. The waiter dropped drinks, then said it was the end of the week. It was Tuesday!
