Such lovely people to welcome you into a shop. The bookstore is great, and having the record shop next door is a nice bonus.

Le Passeur is my favorite bookstore. The whole team is helpful and always ready with reading recommendations tailored to you. Their thoughtful selections have led me to some wonderful literary discoveries. Thanks to everyone there!

I am very disappointed by how little consideration was shown to Laure Fardoulis when her novel "Les Residents Immatures" (Éd. Douro) came out. She's a local author from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and has been a loyal customer of this bookstore for 10 years. Despite her established reputation, including a literary prize and reviews in Le Monde, Libération, and Le Figaro, she was twice refused a few minutes to present her book. The bookseller cited "lack of time" and "the start of the literary season." A team of three couldn't find a moment for an author from their own town, even though she preferred this shop to Amazon. I am a close friend of Laure's, and I see this as a complete lack of support for local authors. This casual attitude feels like a commercial drift that puts fleeting trends ahead of local creators. An independent bookseller should discover and promote voices from their area, not ignore them when they're not published by a major house. Sadly, it seems the profession's ethics have disappeared. Avoid this bookstore if you want one that supports its cultural community.

A lovely little gift stop, with beautiful books for children and adults, plus stationery and book-related items. It's a charming two-story bookstore opposite the church.
