La Ribelle en Provence

Marie Claire had the children covered with games, books, a bathtub, crib, and high chair, which made things easy for us. The hosts also lifted our spirits with welcome gifts after seven hours stuck in traffic. We had a fantastic long weekend in a superb gîte that was clean, well equipped, and ideally located, just 10 minutes from the center of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The pool has a magnificent view.

Everything’s there to make you happy: a welcoming host, an exceptional cottage, and an amazing setting close to nature. The town center is only 10 minutes away if you want or need to go, lol. I highly recommend "La Ribelle en Provence." My advice? Go for it!

We’re already planning to come back in summer, and at other times of year too, to enjoy the shoulder seasons. It’s a great base for trips by car, bike, on foot, or even by canoe. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Fontaine-de-Vaucluse are close, as are the villages and small towns of the Comtat Venaissin and Luberon. Avignon isn’t far either. This is our third year enjoying Marie-Claire’s warm welcome, kindness, and helpfulness. The cottage is laid out and furnished perfectly for a family, and the traditional stone house plus air conditioning keeps it cool in summer. It sits in a peaceful clearing in the pine forest on a hillside on the Vaucluse plateau, with lovely mountain views. The pool is just the right size, with a large enclosed terrace around it. The adjoining pool house has everything you could want, including a kitchen and shaded dining area. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is ideally far from the shops, neither too close nor too distant.

I love this place. It has everything for a dream Provence holiday, comfort, nature, a beautiful pool, and a feeling of being far away while still close to the island on the Sorgue. The owner is lovely.
