Le Closier B&B

We had a beautiful, spacious bedroom and the best hosts at this wonderful Chambre d’Hote. They did everything they could to make our stay great, and were very welcoming to cyclists, which was perfect since we were travelling by bike.

We only stayed one night while passing through, but this marvelous old house made quite an impression. The host has turned it into a charming guesthouse, and the whole experience was incredibly positive. It felt like stepping back to the year 1000, with the creaking floors and deep old scent reminding me that everything is temporary. There’s just peace, nature, birdsong in the morning, and a home that feels like somewhere a relative might live. It was easy to leave everyday problems behind, and I came away with a sense of positive energy and a wise outlook on life. Human ambitions seemed small in that quiet place, where there were no wars or signs of civilization. Thank you to the host. And I should mention the fish that eats mosquito larvae and mosquitoes themselves: **Gambusia**. I highly recommend a visit.

Reg and Sue are truly the best hosts, and we had an amazing stay with them. The hotel and breakfast were incredible, too. Reg is a world-renowned cyclist, and Sue makes the best ice cream in France!

Reg, Sue and Lenny the Dog made our week at Le Closier absolutely amazing. They looked after us so well, and the food was great. It’s a perfect base for a cycling holiday, with easy access to all the sought-after climbs. Reg’s local knowledge and advice on how to pace out the week were invaluable. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Highly recommended!
