Mireille and Jean-Paul were welcoming and attentive, and we had a wonderful holiday we'll remember fondly. The cottage is magnificent and very well equipped, set in a traditional house in the Drôme Provençale. Its setting is peaceful and relaxing, while still close to the starting points for lots of hikes.

Jean-Paul and Mireille were lovely hosts, always attentive but never intrusive, and they gave us walking tips for this beautiful region. The stone house is idyllic and peaceful, and after our day trips we could relax in the pool. The cottage has everything, right down to a sponge, salt and pepper, so we just had to unpack and enjoy our stay. We'll be back!

Families and anyone under 60, this cottage isn't for you. Our teenagers were humiliated and lectured by the hostess over their evening conversations, and her unpleasant remarks, including “there will be more water outside than in the pool,” kept coming during the stay. The hosts showed no friendliness at all. The hostess was judgmental, contemptuous, and in bad faith. Don't come with children or teens who want to use the pool: it belongs to the owners and is on their property. The pool showerhead was already defective when we arrived, but we were charged for it. And because the host forgot to turn on the water heater, we had ice-cold showers in the cottage.

Update, November 22, 2018: the gite has new owners, so I've lowered my rating to 3 stars. It sits in a beautiful location and is fully equipped, making it a good base for exploring the Drome.
