The rooms were spacious, recently renovated, and amazing for the low price. The hotel is in the centre on a street full of shops and restaurants, and the staff were friendly. It’s also not too far from the ski slopes in mont dore. The renovation was done in 2021, so many of the poor reviews are from before then. *Renovated 2021*

The room overlooking the main street was lovely, and breakfast was simple but enough. The entrance is through a dark, dingy hallway, but don’t let that put you off.

The noise from 5 am to 8 am woke me every hour. I also found the room grim: the floor was dirty, wallpaper was peeling away, the clothing rack was coming loose, and the bedroom light barely worked and was still a neon lamp. The bathroom was tiny and old, with yellow mold in the shower. For a supposed two star hotel, I don’t understand how it got that rating. We paid 60 euro a night, which didn’t feel cheap for what we got. They even admitted the standard room was awful and said we should have paid more for a nicer one. One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. Learn from my mistake and stay away.

The bedroom was nice, and Mont Dore ski station is close by. The hot chocolate was excellent.

A complete flea pit: appalling and dirty, with no parking on site and no bar. Breakfast was expensive for what you got, and the website is misleading.
