The bar itself is good and the pizzas were great, and the pool worked really well for the kids. Toilets and showers were spotless, and the staff were friendly. The pitch felt cramped and was right by a road, so it wasn't our favourite campsite on the island. You can find quieter places, and the loud music from the bar until midnight was annoying.

The beach is just a two-minute walk away. There are modern chalets, roomy spots for tents, campervans and caravans, and great washing, toilet and shower facilities. The pool, bar and restaurant are all on site. A wonderful place.

The management were friendly, helpful and quick to respond, and the mobile homes were in perfect condition. It's a family-run campsite where everything felt just right. I'd say it's definitely the best campsite on Oléron island!
