The hostess was unfriendly, and they suddenly asked us to pay a large deposit. There was no internet, mosquitoes were a bizarre nuisance, and there was dog poop in the yard. The family regularly used the pool themselves, and there were lots of rules, including no food at the pool. Facilities were poor. The wooden seat at the gite was very uncomfortable, there was no shower bar, and the bed sagged badly. We paid for final cleaning, but after we left two days early because our frustration had become too much, our empty bottles were literally thrown into our car. They showed no interest in our feedback or suggestions and gave us no money back. Definitely never book!

Our only regret is that we didn’t book a second night. It’s a lovely secluded estate, and we were glad to have the large pool to cool off in during the heat. The stay included nice amenities, especially the excellent, generous breakfast Carole prepared. I’d highly recommend it.

We’d gladly return to this guesthouse. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and the setting is beautiful and well cared for. We found the spa incredibly relaxing. Carole prepared an excellent breakfast, and dinner served as a platter was just as good.

For our wedding anniversary, we booked a day package at Clos de la Chèvre Sud. Carole greeted us with exceptional kindness, and the meal was perfect, all homemade. Time in the jacuzzi and spa made for a wonderfully relaxing break. We’d absolutely recommend a lovely day here, as a couple or otherwise.

The setting is idyllic, the place is spotlessly clean, and the hosts are charming and attentive. Breakfast and dinner were sumptuous. Such a rare find, simply magnificent!
