La Ferme du Longpré

Such a lovely gite.

The heated pool and sauna were a lovely extra, and the welcome was so warm. It's a beautiful place with spacious, inviting rooms. The only small issue was the bedding in one room. Otherwise, everything was very good.

The accommodation is spacious, but cleanliness was uncertain: there was dust in the bedroom and cobwebs around. The bed hadn't been made when we arrived, and the mattress and bedding were uncomfortable and unusable. The bathroom window panes and dishes were dirty, some dishes were broken, and the dishwasher was dirty too. The fridge was tiny for four people. Lighting was poor, with no bulbs in the bathroom, living room, or kitchen. The bathroom also had a lot of mold and smelled.

The pool was lovely and heated well, but everything else was a disaster. The bathroom smelled awful, and there was limescale in the toilet. Dust bunnies covered the floors, the windows looked as if they hadn't been cleaned for months, and there were spiders and cobwebs in every corner. The electric hotplates seemed ancient. There was no coffee maker or electric kettle, the dishwasher was moldy inside, and the dishes were very poor. This was worrying during the Covid period. It set a record as the worst rental we've had in 10 years. We got the cleaning fee refunded, but that wasn't the point. Our first trip out after lockdown ended up being unforgettable.
