Villa Lascaux is in a fantastic spot, with beautiful surroundings, a lovely view and complete peace and quiet. There are plenty of wonderful places to explore nearby. We had a wonderful stay that met all our expectations. The accommodation and rooms were perfect, as were breakfast and service. Sylvie and Gilles had everything arranged perfectly. We enjoyed our days there very much and warmly recommend staying at Villa Lascaux.

Gilles and Sylvie are incredible hosts, and the local meals Sylvie prepared were wonderful. She even made a lovely chestnut soup with chestnuts we'd brought back from a ride. We spent a fabulous October week exploring by bike and car, riding 20cm-45km each day. Gilles mapped out scenic routes on quiet little roads, with ways to avoid traffic, and helped us visit several of the area's Plus Beaux Villages de France. He also suggested a great picnic lunch spot on the Vézère River, across from the Chateau de Losse. The nearby Lascaux caves, with their Paleolithic paintings, were another highlight. Villa Lascaux is a peaceful, comfortable base with a wonderful view, ideal for relaxing or discovering the Dordogne. It's a modern passive solar house, and even with frost on several nights it stayed warm and cozy without gas or electric heat. We highly recommend it for a Dordogne adventure.

We spent a few nights here for our honeymoon and couldn't have asked for more. The house was beautiful and peaceful, with an incredible view. Breakfast was delicious, and our hosts were so helpful. We'd love to return and would highly recommend it.
