Le Vieux Moulin

The €30 set menu was generous and well balanced, and we enjoyed every course through dessert. There was a broad choice of regional specialties and other dishes, plus a comprehensive wine list. Service was efficient, and the dining room was pleasant and well kept. We came for dinner with friends from Chapelle-lez-Herlaimont and received a warm welcome. A complimentary glass of génépi liqueur at the bar as we left was a lovely gesture. The place is just off the resort's main street, so it was peaceful. Worth a visit if you're nearby, and possibly a stay too, since it's also a hotel offering full board for holidays.

We had such a peaceful meal that day, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent. I recommend the beef steak with morels, especially alongside the gratin. It's just outside the center of La Chapelle d'Abondance, and well worth stopping at if you're passing through. Thanks again!

The owners were charming, and we had a superb dinner with an impressive wine list. We stayed here while hiking, and found this two-star hotel very clean and well maintained.

We didn't stay overnight, just ate at the restaurant, and loved it. The portions were generous, the dishes delicious, and the prices very reasonable. For proper traditional, authentic cooking, it's a must. Bravo!
