This apartment in a beautiful chalet felt fresh, cozy, and very comfortable. Everything was brand new and well maintained, with lovely natural wood and black finishes. The beds were really comfortable, and the sheets and towels were spotless. We arrived late, so the welcome pack with dishwasher tablets, bin bags, and other useful bits came in handy. There's plenty of room in the underground parking compared with nearby places. The reception staff, who are mainly there in the afternoon, were friendly, helpful, and spoke English. The heated ski lockers were great. Shops, a well-stocked local bakery with local specialties, and a few restaurants are all within a five-minute walk. Nothing to complain about.

We had a balcony overlooking a large open area, with the ski slopes in the distance. The apartment was very high end, with a bedroom, ensuite bathroom, and toilet, and the furniture and appliances were excellent quality. There were plenty of dishes, too. The underground parking was a real plus, and the individual ski locker was well equipped and heated.

A very friendly receptionist and a great central location, close to a bakery, small shop, bar, and restaurants. The apartments are modern, clean, and extremely well maintained, with well-equipped kitchens, beautiful bathrooms and showers, and good sound insulation. We had a great view, and there's a washing machine and dryer for the whole complex. Parking in the underground garage takes a bit of practice. Even outside ski season, there's lots to enjoy in nature and beautiful places to visit, including Lake Geneva, whether you go by car, bike, bus, or on foot.

The residence is new, with high-quality facilities and amenities, but several things really disappointed us given the high price, close to what you'd pay for an apartment of the same size in AVORIAZ. Ski-in and ski-out access is difficult, or even impossible without snow, as during our stay. The information from TERRESENS also didn't match what we found. There are no standard three-room apartments for six with a view: they all face due north over a municipal parking lot. We were there for two weeks in February and knew after the first week we wouldn't get a ray of sunshine. The ski locker only has room for four, even though the apartment is rented for six. The double-bed mattresses are very soft and not good quality. The parking garage clearance is too low for an SUV with a roof box, so you'd have to remove it before going back in or leave the car outside. La Chapelle d'Abondance offers little to do besides skiing, and having a car is absolutely essential. This was our first and last time returning to La Chapelle d'Abondance, especially to this poorly designed residence in terms of exposure.
