Gîtes de la Vesée

We had a quiet, private place to unwind, and the pool was ideal for cooling off in the heat, both before our day trips and again in the evening. The apartment was modern, spotless, and had everything we needed. Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even booking a table at a fabulous local restaurant since we don't speak French. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The location was peaceful and quiet, yet close to local amenities, including some wonderful restaurants and boulangeries. We had a modern, comfortable gîte and really enjoyed spending time by the pool, cooling off and relaxing. Sebastien was a great host, always available to help and full of good suggestions for trips and restaurants.

The rooms were spotless and the decor was finished to a high standard. The swimming pool was well presented, and my 8 year-old daughter loved staying here. It’s also within a day’s drive of the Scottish border if you use the tunnel. As competent French speakers, we appreciated that few people in the region spoke English. The host was the only person who could.

I spent four nights here over a long weekend in a really comfortable studio apartment. The gîtes are peaceful and well isolated, with a private outdoor area that’s big enough to enjoy some fresh air. The place was tastefully decorated and well equipped, and Sébastien was welcoming, helpful, and seemed genuinely keen to make my stay pleasant. It wasn’t warm enough for me to swim, but I spent a relaxing afternoon in the sunshine on the loungers, with gentle music in the background. I’ll keep the address handy for future visits to Lille.
