The location isn't idyllic, it's in a safe ZAC-type area without a touristy feel, but it was peaceful and quiet. Being a bit remote also left room for a lovely pool. We had perfect weather on a Saturday in May, so we spent time by the pool and even swam a little. The staff made the stay special. We called to say travel problems would make us late, and they offered to keep the restaurant open for us. The restaurant staff were still cheerful and friendly, even though it was later than usual on a Friday night. At the room, we found a lovely handwritten note from reception. We had a great stay, thank you to the team.

The area is an industrial zone, which makes for a very quiet night's sleep. It's not the right place if you want to walk around and explore on foot. Service is relaxed and cheerful, and the rooms are very standardized, but that's fine.

My stay at Ibis La Ciotat was out of this world. La Ciotat is beautiful and the weather was amazing. People were super helpful, both at the hotel and outside it, and the community feels really original.

The breakfast alone made this stay stand out. Best I've had at an Ibis, and maybe at any hotel, with fresh-squeezed orange juice and water for soft-boiled eggs among the highlights. The room was fine, and the staff were really nice and friendly. The hotel itself is a typical Ibis in a pretty uninspired part of an uninspired town.
