Lovely scenery and buildings. Nice for a short stroll, then picking up something to eat or a few gifts.

The old town and the walking path are all right, but the bay is full of industrial buildings and shop cranes. I didn’t find it very appealing.

There’s plenty to watch around the port: boats of every size, people setting up their market tables, and restaurants with their menus and outdoor seating. All sorts of people stroll along the harbor, so it’s a great spot for people watching.

The port looks especially lovely at sunset, with the sky turning pink, and the nearby restaurants and ice cream shops all have views over it. There are lots of yachts here, sometimes some really imposing ones, since La Ciotat shipyard still maintains, refurbishes and occasionally builds boats. The place also has a long shipbuilding history, including very large ships and oil tankers. I recommend visiting "La Maison de la construction navale".

A lovely place to unwind with long walks along the Mediterranean. The weather is warm, the views of nearby islands are beautiful, and the beaches are sunny. There are also several good waterfront restaurants.
