The apartment was convenient for the center, Old Port, beaches and Eden cinema, but the stay was disappointing. What we got didn’t match the booking: instead of a first-floor terrace there was just a spot in the garden in front of the accommodation, and the parking was in a public garage rather than on the property. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and filled the whole kitchen. Cleanliness was poor, noise carried constantly because there was no soundproofing, and the outside light was broken. We felt the promises hadn’t been kept and the host was unfair and dishonest.

We were traveling with a baby and could walk to the port, beach and shops, so we never needed the car. The location is fantastic. The place is an old villa split into several apartments, and ours was still very spacious, with two bedrooms, a living room, shower and separate toilet. There was free parking in the complex, and the gentleman who greeted us was lovely and very friendly.

We liked our stay so much that we added another night. The apartments have everything you need, and the big garden gives children room to play or lets you relax. It’s right in the heart of the city, so there’s no need for a car. A wonderful stay.

The back courtyard was a great place to eat or relax in the hammock, and there was a washing machine with a large drying rack out there too. The apartment is part of a former villa that’s been divided into several units, and it has welcome air conditioning. It’s a couple of minutes from a small Carrefour City supermarket and the port restaurants. You can walk to Calanque du Mugel in about 10 minutes or Calanques de Figuerolles in 20.

We’ll be back! The owner takes time to welcome you and does what he can to make the stay enjoyable. Parking needs to be requested ahead of time, and the beaches are a 15-20 minute walk away. Cassis and Bandol are around 20-25 minutes by car. The house has a lovely garden for coffee or meals, and the two- and three-room apartments are well equipped with things like a dishwasher, linens, fridge and air conditioning. You’re only a three-minute walk from the old town of La Ciotat, with the port, restaurants, markets, and the sea nearby, including Mugel cove, Figuerolles and boat trips.
