La Chanterelle Mountain Lodge

The peaceful setting is beautiful, with trees and snow all around, and the red and black runs right by the front door. John runs a brilliant place, with fantastic food and hospitality that's hard to beat. The Challet is right by the ski lift. We can't speak highly enough of the people at La Chanterelle, and we'll definitely be back. Thanks to the whole team for everything. Don't miss this little gem.

There wasn't much snow, which was a shame, but JJ was absolutely amazing and gave us great recommendations. We still had a wonderful time relaxing and skiing with the kids. We had dinner there, the food was yummy, and the kids were kept very entertained. One of the best lodges I've stayed in. I'd definitely recommend it and come back, hopefully when there's more snow.

The personal service is what stood out most, with an individual approach. The food is really good, and I recommend trying the oysters. It's a proper ski-in, ski-out chalet, with nice rooms and a good restaurant. I'd suggest renting a room on an upper floor, since snow can block the view from the lower floors.

We had a truly great stay for a friend's birthday, with fantastic food, drinks and service. Gilles and his wife Tatiana are wonderful hosts who really do everything to make your stay unforgettable. It was our second visit, and there is new management this year. The lodge sits at the end of a mountain road, right on the slope in a very quiet spot, with the lift close by. The rooms are big and clean, and the living room is cosy, with entertainment for the kids.
