B&B Hotel Paris Le Bourget

We only stayed one night. The room was clean and quiet, and the service was really nice. There’s free parking behind a very secure entrance gate. The place is quite basic and next to Mc Donald resto. It was fine during the day, but at night this didn’t seem like the best area for getting a bus, train, or metro.

Traffic around the hotel is heavy, and you can smell the exhaust in the air. My bathroom had a bit of a strange smell too. Still, the hotel is decent and reasonably priced, with a big supermarket and restaurants nearby.

The payment arrangements were a mess. My manager had to use her personal card for two rooms, while payments for five more were delayed or had to be made again before anyone could be reimbursed. The room was uncomfortable in several ways. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the ventilation brought more of it inside. Each day, the housekeeper set the radiator to 35°C, leaving the room hot and dry. The mattress was very thin on a creaky wooden board, the duvet was too small, and there were no spare blankets. The pillows were poor too, so sleeping was difficult. There were obvious maintenance and cleanliness problems: a loud creaking door, a slow-draining sink, and dirty, stained carpet in the corridor. The shared jam jars felt unhygienic, especially when people licked the spoon and put it back. Strong sewage smells made things worse, and I came home with my clothes smelling of cigarette smoke. The elevator was broken on the last day, and the breakfast area was too hot. This was a thoroughly disappointing stay. The hotel felt uncomfortable, unsanitary, and badly managed, and I can’t recommend it.

The staff were friendly, and it’s in a really handy spot for public transport. Our family room was spacious and the hotel was clean. We were very happy with our stay and plan to come back next season.
