Villa des Fontenelles

We’d been to their other property in Rennes for Easter, and the owner recommended this villa for our Christmas trip to Provence. It turned out to be the most incredible Christmas we’ve had. We made trips along the coast almost every day and were amazed by how many beautiful places there are to explore. There are wine estates just a five-minute walk away for a tour or to buy wine, and the village is under a five-minute drive for essentials, with the town about 20 minutes away. The views were spectacular, and the place felt peaceful. The beach is a ten-minute walk along the main road, or quicker via the path behind the villa, with lovely views along the way. There’s also a private beach if you want somewhere hidden. We couldn’t use the swimming pool because of the season, but I can imagine it being a lot of fun in summer. We arrived very late, but the lovely lady was still waiting for us and had decorated the Christmas tree so we’d feel at home. Such a thoughtful, sweet gesture. Thanks for the Christmas card and wishes. Our flat was perfect, with a well-equipped kitchen, clean rooms and bathroom, and a cozy bed for a good night’s sleep. Tea, coffee, madeleines, milk, and water were there as a little treat; we just needed to bring our groceries. We loved the sunrises and sunsets, the sound of the waves, board game nights, and early runs on the beach. The weather was great for winter, and the people we met were so nice. We’ve been almost everywhere in France, but this place is unique and our favorite spot. We made wonderful memories and didn’t want to leave. I can recommend the villa 100% for an unforgettable stay.
