After more than 10 years of stopping in central France on our way south, this is by far the best place we've stayed. The house is built to a high standard with the environment and nature in mind, and the hosts are amazing. Breakfast was plentiful and amazing, with Tanguy cooking eggs to order and serving homemade jams and jellies among lots of other choices. Dinner costs extra, but the three courses were full of flavour, with excellent wine. We were very comfortable. Absolutely recommended.

What a great find for a peaceful break from the chaos of motorway driving. Tanguy is warm and welcoming, and a terrific cook. Dinner was outside with the other guests, and it was a lovely evening, both for the food and the company.

The garden was lovely to look at, and the house stayed quiet at night in the middle of the peaceful little town. Tanguy made us feel at home and served fantastic food. His risotto with chanterelles he’d picked himself was incredible, and breakfast was flawless, with homemade croissants, eggs from the chicken coop, and other great ingredients. The bedrooms, dining room and lounge were all beautifully decorated with care down to the smallest details. We also loved the en-suite bathroom and the great comic book selection. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

The common area has a lot of charm, and the rooms are superb. We were warmly welcomed and really enjoyed the delicious food made in-house. It’s close to the countryside and forests, with Chambord a 30-minute drive away. I really recommend this place.
