I booked six months ahead for a cross-Europe trip, after doing two or three similar hikes before. In the meantime, my sister developed breast cancer and needed my support through chemo, so we had to postpone and hoped to book again later. Of the 35 places we'd booked, this was the only one that kept the deposit instead of refunding it. As a business owner myself, that's not how I'd want to handle it.

The indoor pool was a real plus, and the rooms are nicely decorated. Still, there are a few things that could be better. Breakfast is only available too late for an early start to beat traffic on the way to Puy du Fou. The skylights are a good idea, but the toilet and shower room still need proper ventilation, and hearing the people in the next room snore wasn't great. Shutters would also be useful, so windows could stay open on hot nights. It calls itself a hotel, but the rooms aren't cleaned every day.

The heated pool is a great size and a lovely way to relax. We also found the rooms very spacious and quiet, with superb bedding and quality amenities. The hosts are lovely, and the place feels welcoming, clean, and well decorated. Breakfast was included, generous, and high quality. Excellent value for money.

We stayed for three days last August, just the two of us, and the peaceful setting was lovely. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, and both the rooms and grounds were spotless and beautiful. Breakfast was a real treat. It's very conveniently located near Puy du Fou. We'd definitely come back, and I highly recommend it! ☺️
