A quiet, clean hotel in a good location, and good value for money.

There’s room to store ski gear in the ground-floor garage. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with an appealing old-fashioned charm, and the hotel has a family feel. Breakfast is homemade, with pudding, jams and yogurt. Since there are two bakeries nearby, it would be nice to have a few pastries as well.

I really enjoyed the themed food evenings, especially the culinary tour that went from Morocco to Thailand, Japan, Russia and Réunion Island. The Golden Sun guesthouse in Savoie is a beautiful, peaceful place, and this authentic chalet has been welcoming visitors for over 40 years. The homemade cooking was great, the prices were affordable, and everything was very clean. There’s also a magnificent terrace. I highly recommend it as a refreshing getaway.

The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable, but there’s a lot of noise because the soundproofing is poor. Breakfast is light.

The host was very friendly, and the rooms were clean. Meals were homemade and balanced, from breakfast through dinner. The hotel is in the village, close to the shuttle bus stop.
