We eventually found a better and cheaper place, but getting there was a mess. After we agreed by phone to rent the house for a week in August, the owner assured me it was blocked while we waited for the official paperwork. A few days later, her husband said there had been a communication problem and that he'd already agreed to let it to someone else. When I pressed him, he explained they wanted three weeks in a row, so they preferred to rent to three separate one-week bookings instead. I found that completely disrespectful, especially for a week that cost over €3,000. If there's a two-week minimum, say so upfront. Otherwise, bookings should be handled in the order they're made. Turning seasonal rentals into a way to chase that kind of profit shows very little consideration for guests.

The villa is elegant, with beautifully decorated rooms and striking marble and architecture. Lionel and Isabelle gave us such a warm welcome. Their three dogs are friendly, though we only saw them when we arrived. It's right by the beaches and beach bars, and I think we'll come back.

Isabelle made us feel welcome from the start, always smiling and attentive to making our stay a good one. The house and rooms were spotless, and we had a pool view, a minibar with a welcome drink, and a pool table, which made it easy to relax in private. The secure residence is right by the beaches and was just as described. Highly recommended.
