Vittoria Immobilier - Sable

We had ordered breakfast and paid, but nothing arrived. When we complained, they told us this was a rental without breakfast. The agency's emails and shop windows also said it closed at 6 p.m. On arrival, we felt completely misled. We had been promised free parking, but couldn't enter the fenced property. The real estate agency sent a link for the key pickup address, but it usually showed “page not found”; sometimes it opened a partial street map with no landmarks. The server may have been unstable. We were told to call if arriving after 6 p.m. At 5:15, though, the phone played a recording telling us to email them for urgent matters, with an impossibly long address we couldn't make out. With help from people in the neighborhood, we just managed to reach the office at 5:55, before it was supposedly closed at 6. They kept telling us things that weren't true. They claimed the recording wasn't playing, so I called right away and made them listen. They went pale. Then they said it announced a 7 p.m. closing. I had them listen again, and they couldn't deny it or explain it. When I asked whether either of the two people there was in charge, one woman said, “I'm the boss here” (“la gerante”). It felt as if they'd tried to avoid handing over the keys to our prepaid holiday. It was their last working hour before the July 14th holiday. Was that why, or had the place been rented twice? I couldn't shake the feeling that we'd narrowly avoided a theft. The office's conduct felt so dishonest and unprofessional that we reported it to officials to help prevent the same thing happening to other clients.

What a con. They took a LARGE deposit from my account without my consent and still haven't returned it. They didn't reply to any of my emails, so now I have to deal with it through the bank. It was a very unfortunate start to my holiday. If zero stars had been an option, I wouldn't even have given one.

The manager was friendly, generous with breakfast, and made for a nice stay.

We had no issues with our accommodation, and it really met our expectations. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the price was more than reasonable. I'd highly recommend it for seasonal rentals and other stays.
