Chateau de Surville

Anne and Gilles were wonderful hosts and happy to tell us about the château's history. We chose Château de Surville for our wedding, and it was a gorgeous setting, peaceful, attractive, and with lots of room for hosting and celebrating. A great place to enjoy Normandy, highly recommend it.

I fell in love with this château. I'd love to have my wedding here someday.

The owners felt too involved for us, from the preparations through the wedding and into the following day. We wanted that time to ourselves with family and friends. There were some other hotel related issues too: the newlyweds' room has no shutters, and breakfast comes with the room or cottage rental but didn't feel worth the price. The baguettes were stale and the croissants poor quality, though there was also jam, butter, and the usual extras. If you rent dishes elsewhere, you can't use the château's dishwasher or sink area. Still, Château de Surville is a beautiful, well kept venue. We were generally delighted with our wedding there, and the rooms, cottages, and dorms were all very clean. The outside was also well maintained.

Anne's warmth and care are what we'll remember most. She supported us throughout and paid attention to the little details, making us feel welcomed and looked after. We are so grateful to her. Our wedding at Château de Surville felt like a dream, with a magical, peaceful atmosphere and a beautiful setting. It's a memory full of love and celebration that we'll always treasure. Thank you, Anne, for everything ❤️.
