Résidence Rive Droite

The studio’s been completely renovated and is nice, with good value for money. The location isn’t very romantic, but it’s practical and convenient.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The shower was broken and maintenance was poor, and you can hear all the noise from the apartment above and the hall. The staff are rude.

The room itself was modern, nicely laid out, and much better than the exterior suggested. But it wasn’t clean. The sheets and fitted sheet were filthy, covered in hair and pet fur. We called reception, but nobody could bring fresh bedding. We had to walk over to the hotel on the other side to get sheets and a clean cover, then return. For a three-star hotel, having to sleep in a bed that dirty was really disappointing. Two bath towels were also covered in black shoe prints, even though we had only just opened the door. Getting checked in was easy once we found where to go. The building at Rive Droite looked almost abandoned and not well maintained from outside, with no sign, reception, or receptionist to tell us where to get the key. Luckily, someone on their way to their room explained that check-in and room keys were handled at the hotel across the street. It’s fine for a night or two, and works for going to ValMorel for trail running, but I don’t think I’d return for a longer stay. If you plan to use the kitchen, bring dish soap. We had to wash the dishes with shower soap and clean everything before leaving.
