Hôtel Art Déco Euralille

The location worked well for us, with the old town walkable and the metro to the main station stopping right in front of the hotel. Our room was very quiet and soundproof, with a roomy bathroom, everything we needed, and exceptionally comfortable beds. The room and breakfast were both great, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel does look a little dated, but I had an exceptional stay and don't understand the bad reviews.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and having an indoor garage was a big plus, even if getting the car into it was quite a challenge. The hotel is in a good spot, about 15 minutes on foot from the center, with a tram stop right outside too. Rooms are big enough, though I think the furniture and equipment could use an update.

The room was small, and the toilet was under construction. The hotel itself looked old and in poor shape. I booked through Eurostar, where the room was rated “very good,” so this was disappointing. The manager was juggling bar service, reception, and concierge duties. Maybe that explains the disappointing service, though I wouldn't call it very poor. The hotel was fully booked, and we lost time waiting in the room while they finished minor but noisy construction. They advised us to cancel, with the refund going through the agent or Eurostar, but by late afternoon we weren't confident we'd find somewhere else. I hope Eurostar can offer a replacement for tonight or compensation later. Either way, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

We only stayed for a night, so the room's limited storage wasn't a problem. It was small, clean, and very basic. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast downstairs in the lobby was a nice continental spread. The hotel is around 10-15 minutes on foot from both the Eurostar station and the center.
