The slopes are easy to reach and the location is great. The resort is also good for families, though it’s small and things may cost less in Plagne Bellecot. Our apartment had direct slope access, so we didn’t use the ski locker, which is basic, can get crowded, and isn’t heated. I’d leave skis and poles there and put boots on in the apartment. Bring your own boot dryer if you want warm, dry boots. The apartment itself was okay, and the kitchen and bathroom seemed newly fitted as Pierre Vacances updates the units. But the build quality felt poor: there was a constant, noisy draft under the front door. Three portable radiators helped with the cold, but using all three at once tripped the fuse box. The layout of the block is awkward, especially with a baby. The main entrance has stairs going both up and down, so we rarely used it. With a stroller or wheelchair, use the step-free car park entrance, then take the lift to the resort on the right as you leave the car park. The corridors have no motion-sensor lights, so switch them on when you enter, and don’t accidentally ring another apartment’s bell. We had to make the beds ourselves. The bedding was fleece blankets, and I’m unsure how often they’re washed, since guests aren’t asked to put them in the laundry bag. Reception is 200 metres away and only open part-time; I don’t understand why Pierre Vacances doesn’t offer keyless access. It wasn’t very useful or helpful.
