Blacksheep Village Igloo

It looks great, though I’m not sure why it was closed.

We booked a night in an igloo through a box deal for the period between Christmas and New Year. A few days later, they canceled, saying they wanted to postpone because there wasn’t enough snow. We booked again for early January, but that was canceled too, this time with no explanation. We emailed to complain and are still waiting for a reply. Then we tried once more for January 11-12, and that booking was also canceled without explanation. If these stays aren’t profitable, there’s no point offering igloo nights through boxes. This has been disrespectful, and it feels like they’re taking customers for fools. I have to give one star, though I’d give zero if I could. I’m planning to post about this on every igloo site I can find. Based on the other reviews, people paying full price seem disappointed too, so the price doesn’t sound worth the risk.

We met new people in a lovely atmosphere, and the meal was excellent. The staff were kind and gave us great advice. It was our first time in an igloo and we loved it. Waking up to the sun and that incredible landscape and light felt magical. I’m very sensitive to the cold, but I was well equipped and managed wonderfully. My husband and I recommend it.

We checked the terms carefully before buying a Christmas gift voucher for one night in a shared igloo, especially because it can’t be refunded. Nowhere did it say the voucher was only valid on weekdays, even though we wanted the recipient to be able to book on weekends around their availability. That’s completely unacceptable. It feels like this restriction was kept quiet to sell more vouchers and trap customers. Thanks for the bad faith and for making us waste our money.
