Chalet Hôtel Turquoise

This was our second stay in the apartment and our third time in Belle Plagne, so it feels like home now. We had six of us, four adults and two kids, and there was plenty of room. It’s clean, very modern and has everything we needed. The location is spot on, right by the pistes, restaurants and shops. The owner and manager were excellent at communicating.

Fanny was always on hand before and during our holiday, and the boot room was the best I’ve ever had, with direct access to the piste. The spa was very good too, though some loungers and towels would have been a useful addition. Finding the place on arrival was a little stressful, and a larger sign at the car park entrance could help. The apartment is exceptionally well equipped for a family or group ski trip. It even has Racette and fondue sets. The suites are laid out quite differently: some give you more living space, while others have extra sleeping room and toilets, so it’s worth choosing the layout that suits you. A non-skier in our group still had plenty to do within a short walk or via the bus and lift network. New Year is busy in the resort, but it was nice to come back to a calm apartment after skiing. Bars and restaurants are close, without being so close that noise bothered us. For guests arranging ski hire, SkiDoc brings the gear right to the boot room and gets you set up there. The only real drawback was the bathroom layout. We’d have preferred a toilet on the middle floor instead of a shower, since going up or down a flight of stairs in the night to use the loo was a pain. Otherwise it was a fabulous stay. Apartment 1 in the Turquoise apartments is over three floors, properly ski-in/ski-out, and had a well-equipped kitchen. The place was clean, the interior decoration was lovely, and the basement ski room, hot tub, sauna and steam room were great. Fanny was very helpful too.

Fanny gave us a warm welcome and kept in touch throughout, so everything went smoothly from arrival to departure. We had a wonderful week in Belle Plagne and would happily return. Two families shared the apartment: children aged 6 and 8, young adults aged 20 and 22, their parents, and a grandmother of 79. It worked well for everyone, with enough space to be together or have some privacy. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well organized, and the slopes were easy to reach, which suited both the kids and the older members of the group. We’d recommend it to families or larger groups wanting an easy ski holiday.
