Chalet Le Paradou

The meals were a highlight for me. Almost everything was made with produce from the garden, and the food was healthy, full of flavor and truly exquisite. After time in the mountains, the jacuzzi, sauna and ski storage were welcome too. I stayed at this chalet in La Plagne with my nine-year-old daughter. We felt welcome straight away, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and available. They know the area well and gave us excellent tips for making the most of our stay. The room was adequate, and although the bathroom was a little small, it did the job. From the chalet and its main terrace you can see the La Plagne slopes. The facilities were a real highlight, with a well-maintained swimming pool and a spa area that felt lovely after a long day. The family were welcoming and helpful, and the food was fresh, delicious and generous, made with seasonal produce and sometimes ingredients of their own. We had exactly the warm service we were looking for. A very pleasant stay, and we’d love to do it again.

Franck is in the French Alpine Club and offered to plan hiking routes. He knows the mountains inside out and gave us excellent advice. After our hikes, the sauna and spa were fantastic. We spent a weekend at Chalet Le Paradou and highly recommend it. The owners are lovely and make their own bread, yogurt, jams, brioches and plenty more. I’m gluten and dairy intolerant, and the owner prepared a special cake for me and adapted the meals so I could eat them. The chalet was cozy and very clean, with high-quality bedding. A big thank you to both of them for their hospitality!
